Every journey starts with that initial step so I give you a round of applause for taking your 1st step in what I know can be an enjoyable and life shifting journey towards health and happiness. One of the 1st thoughts that turns up in a person’s mind when they need to burn some fat or lose some weight is the word diet; a word I am not especially affectionate of. I dislike this word because along with it, people have this defined idea that it is something with a firm start date and a rigid finish date. I hate to be the one that ruins the party but if you sincerely want to attain lifelong and sustainable health and fitness success, you need to start assessing the lifestyle modifications you are going to make for the long haul.
Think about this for a short instant; are you going to discontinue going to the gym because the same set of exercises you have learned by heart is getting old and boring for you or do you think it makes more sense to gain knowledge of the science and technicalities behind what you are doing so that not only can you effortlessly execute variety into your routine, you can also keep it going long-term? One very important concept to take into account is that it is not enough to just hit your near term targets. What is really going to make a difference is if you are able to retain the results for an extended period of time with the true goal being the rest of your life.
